About the role
The SRE Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions to improve the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our systems and services.
Responsibilities
- Develop scripts and frameworks to automate repetitive tasks and incident responses.
- Design, implement, and maintain automation tools for deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and resolve reliability issues.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline code integration and deployment.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Develop and maintain documentation for automation processes and procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response as needed.
- Analyze incidents and outages to drive root cause analysis and implement preventive automation.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or related automation roles.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Shell, etc.).
- Experience with automation and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
